Amiga Inc. Commodore. Which one is the Amiga?
« on: April 04, 2006, 11:48:54 AM »
I've just visited www.thinkcommodore.com and on the last paragraph of the lead in note I've asked myself a question on which I don't seem to have an answer.  :horse:

Which is it? The Amiga type/make is now the Amiga Inc. brand? Is this true or not? So, it's not going to be like Commodore Amiga again, it's gonna be Amiga Inc. Amigas. AFAIR this is what it sounds like.  :rtfm:

What would you like better?  :-)  :-D

Your right there is no longer (and hasnt been for around a decade now) Commodore Amiga.
As far as Im aware Amigas are owned by Amiga Inc and Commodore themselves concentrate more on media players.
Someone could probably correct me

sometime during the commodore bankruptcy (escom, AT, gateway) the assets of commodore and amiga split off from one another eventually handing amiga to amiga Inc and commodore to tulip computers tulip then got bought out(or just the commodore assets) then the comany that bought it renamed itself commodore.

so they are two different companies now.
The only stupid question is a question not asked.

Win•dows: n. A thirty-two bit extension and graphical shell to a sixteen-bit patch to an eight-bit operating system originally coded for a four-bit microprocessor which was written by a two-bit company that can\'t stand one bit of competition.
