A1200 Specifications
« on: March 31, 2006, 07:33:03 AM »
Hello All:

Several people on the board have told me that the Amiga A1200 does not do SVGA like the A3000 does.  I am now confused because I looked up the technical specs and the 31 mhz SVGA port is listed on this site

So does the port exist?  If it does not, definitely know where to find a proper Amiga RGB to SVGA adapter, but would like to make sure flicker fixer is also in one so if someone knows of another adapter I would like to be educated.

Thanks,

Mike

There is no hardware flickerfixer or scandoubler in A1200.

You can connect normal VGA monitor (with simple RGB->VGA connector) and use certain screenmodes that are visible, but PAL, NTSC etc 15kHz modes are not.

True, in practice this means that it is possible to use a VGA monitor when you just use productivity apps which are modepromotable or have screen requesters. When you also play games you *need* a scandoubler.

you can use this adapter with a proper driver in Devs:monitor or this sd/ff
A3040/25 AmigaOS 3.9
A1260BPPC AmigaOS 3.9/4.0
Sam440ep AmigaOS 4.1.2
PegasosII/G3 AmigaOS 4.1.2/MorphOS 2.7/Debian 5.0.7/SUSE 11.1

If i am going to have bugs on my system,
