Socket for mouse broken... Can I get replacement?
« on: March 30, 2006, 08:06:14 PM »
Its one thing after another today!

Anyway, I have just pulled my mouse out of its socket at the back of the A1200 and found that one of the pins has come off...

Can this be replaced? Because now the mouse buttons work, but the pointer wont move.

If it can what am I looking for?

Have a replacement sockets here - but it depends on the type of A1200 motherboard

Three types:

Mouse port soldered directly onto mainboard
Mouse port soldered directly onto small daughterboard than slots into mainboard
Mouse port on an IDC ribbon cable than plugs onto mainboard

Tell me what type you have and I do my best to help out.
