Hello.
I joined this site some time ago and last week I finally got a Amiga 500 from a mate. It has been at least 15 years since I last used an amiga but you can consider me 'back'

.
When I hooked it up when I got home it gave the green screen + flashing power led nonsense. After some goolging, I quickly solved it using 2 spacers, a small hammer and some contact cleaner.
My main reason for buying one is: Emulation will never be perfect. Plus, it's a lot more fun using the real thing anyway

.
As soon as I have a decent amount of blank (and working) 2DD disks I will try to get some of the ADF images I downloaded earlier onto real disks using
Method A. Yes. I only have Kickstart 1.2 and the Workbench 1.2 and 1.3 disks (just the system disks, no extras).
The last few days I have been mostly playing Pinball Dreams/Fantasies, Lemmings, Alien Breed SE'92 and Turrican 2, which were handed to me by the mate I mentioned earlier.
I plan on adding a A1200 with kickstart 3.1 a harddisk and some fastram later on. Also, a visit to the April 15 meeting of the Commodore GG in Maarssen, The Netherlands is firmly written into my agenda

.
That is all for now...
