@Jeff

Well I purchased a Toastscan from Softhut at the time I bought the A4000 from Boogiegail.  It got to my house first.  hehe

Anyway, I hooked it up to my A4000 and then connected my Viewsonic 17GS but was unable to get a clear signal for more than 5-6 seconds.  It just kept scrolling and blanking.  I'm sure I'm doing something wrong and I was going to e-mail Softhut to ask them about it.  There was no documentation with it.

Thanks,
Drew

Oh man, you got a Toastscan? I guess you didn't see the thread where I (and a few others) explained that the Toastscan is a piece of crap. It was my worst Amiga purchase ever. I tried everything to get a good picture with that thing, but all I got was flickering, unstable, chunky images with poor colour. I happily went back to my 1084 after that. (Softhut doesn't do refunds either - exchange only!)

The ToasterScan is not bad, it not the best but better then not having it - you need to use the adjustment screw to tune it - it should make a better picture. I have one, don't use it any more now that I have a PicassoIV, and it sometime take a few minutes for it clear up. But you should get a pretty good picture out of it. Is the green light one it a constant green?
