Backdrop wont work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for some reason when I put workbench to backdrop mode from pull down menu and snapshot (using window or all) when i reset and workbench loads it still in a window. Any suggestions or can you tell me where to locate the prefs file this is stored in. Then possibly I can edit that. Im on OS3.9 BB1

Is it actually saving the snapshot. Check your last message once you have saved it to see. I had this problem before and it turned out I had a drive without a disk.info which was stopping the save snapshot working

just to respond ended up copying an old wbconfig.prefs across sorted problem but still doesnt tell me why it wouldnt work

Don't you have to go into one of the prefs programs eg Prefs:Workbench and save the config there?  I believe snapshotting just saves the information relating to either window size and position (using windows/snapshot) or icon position (icons/snapshot).

have you power down the amiga for 1-2 minutes or you just reset her? i have seen a lot of weired problems to solved just like that!
