The Original Amiga Booth Babe
« on: February 11, 2006, 04:04:59 PM »
Remember NewTek's trade show booth?  If you attended an Amiga show in the late '80s and early '90s you were treated to the demos of Kiki Stockhammer from New Tek.  Kiki then left NewTek for Play in Sacramento.

Kiki is still here in Sacramento and has a Star Trek themed band.  Check her band out (and Kiki too) at:

Wow!  I used to love watching the NewTek demos!  Anyone know where they can be found?

I heard Kiki and the band on a local TV show a couple of years ago.  It was interesting but some of the attempts to hook to StarTrek were rather over the top.  I did think the title of their single was interesting.  I'm sure that it has nothing to do with boldly going where no man has gone before!

No idea, but they can't sound any worse than William Shatner's albums.
His version of 'Mr. Tambourine Man' has scarred me for life.. :nervous:

Leonary Nimoy's are of a similar "quality"!!

His version of "If I Had A Hammer" really makes you wish you did have a hammer.... To boldly destroy your speakers... :-)
