68882 FPU Query
« on: February 07, 2006, 10:35:35 AM »
Hi everyone, does anyone know the answer to the following;

I have installed 68882 FPU rated @40mhz in a Blizzard 1230IV @50mhz.

Can I expect the FPU to run at 50mhz as it is overclocked, or is there a shortfall in power due to the lesser FPU? Everything is working fine on my A1200.

SYSinfo reports 8.26 MIPS, 1.35 MFLOPS

Thank you for your help

Gavin. :-)

Hello,
may be you FPU will die if it is not cooled....
I remind of SYSinfo on my Blz 1230 IV @50 + FPU@50, I got around 12 Mips and around 1.8 Mflops.
But on my 2630 @ 25+ FPU@25, it is around 5.6 Mips...
