Amiga in the high street
« on: February 01, 2006, 09:20:26 PM »
Ahhh! :-)

I was just walking through the town centre in Hull when I had to do a double-take.
Sitting in the window display of Gamezone was a nice, shrink-wrapped A600 with a £49.99 sticker on it (mouse included).
Thought I had been spending too long on ebay, and was starting to see amigas everywhere. :-)
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

Quick, buy it NOW!!!

Reminds me of during the late '80s, when the Co-Op's Brighton (UK) store's electrical department still had an unsold and boxed ZX81 for sale for £45!

I was moved, when I was strolling and suddenly saw an A500 in the shop window! This is a used/retro computers shop, but it has been such a long time since I've seen an Amiga for last time in a shop front...
