Cyberstorm MK III with PPC SCSI question

Ok, I hope people will understand what I want to do here.

I will be installing my Cyberstorm PPC as soon as I get it. The question I have is will the Amiga 4000 know what to do with it? I want to remove my old IDE and totaly run my OS off of the Cyberstorm's SCSI controler and not use the internal IDE at all (except for the CD rom). Will the Amiga know that the SCSI is there or do I need to have another drive conected to the inturnal IDE drive controler with the OS installed on that?

the scsi controler of Cyberstorm must be bootable as is mine 1230 scsi controler. just install the softwear of the scsi controler and when you run hdtoolbox select the specific scsi.device. in my bliz1260 the scsi dev name is 1230scsi.device for example. all the procedure after the selection of scsi device is the same as with ide drives. here you will find the latest softwear from phase5 : http://phase5.a1k.org/

Cyberstorm PPC SCSI, like any recent SCSI implementations by phase5 (Blizzard 12x0 SCSIkit, BlizzardPPC SCSI, Cyberstorm MK x SCSI-2) are the real thing, that is they are fully autoconfig and don't need any "bootstrapping" from some IDE HDD.

Cyberstorm PPC SCSI driver in inside the flashrom so you don't need to install any drivers for it. You might want to use phase5 SCSIConfig to set the drives up, or alternatively use the latest HDToolBox (AmigaOS 3.1 one doesn't work that well with large drives though).

However, if you remove all IDE devices you'll get some delay from the IDE scsi.device probing the bus for devices that aren't there (it can be upto 30 seconds with KS 3.1). There is a HW solution, and some SW patches.

There should be no massive delay then.

Thats what I will do then. I just want this to be as painless as possible and at the same time starting a nice clean install of everything on the SCSI so it all loads faster.(that will speed up my Toaster/flyer alot) And then If I have problems I have a great backup, its just a matter of putting my old IDE drive back in and removing the Cyberstorm without having to do anything.
