MC68040 Pin 1? Where?
« on: January 27, 2006, 09:52:58 PM »
OK I need to know where pin 1 on the 68040 chip is!  Is it the missing pin or where the reversed L is on top of chip on left side of chip with writing where is ways MC68040RC25?  Thanks!

Can't you find datasheets for it on the site of Motorola or whichever company it was who took over their chipstuff (Freescale?)?

Thanks I did find a data sheet and it is indeed the top left corner with the marking as I thought.  I installed it and it works!  Now I need to get the RCS Fusion 40 disk and get the proper 68040.library.

This is going into my A2000 Toaster 2000 computer!  It will rock.
