Sb128 mediator problem no sound

This is really freaking weird.
I downloaded the old intro Gift by potion  http://ftp.amigascne.org/old/parties/symposium2000/amiga64k/potion-gift.lha

That intro uses Ahi but is old so i think it only works with Paula AHI. But i forgot to change the default AHI mode from SB128 to Paula. So when i typed

muredox (oxypather/cyberpatcher replacement for people that use mmulib. The intro needs it)

and then i typed

ptn-gift.exe

Well the intro crashed in the beginning when it started to precalculate.

So after the reboot i decided to play a mp3 in aminetradio. But no sound came from the sb128. I tried the mixer but all the settings were normal full volume.

I then turned of the comp and tried again. But the sb128 was completly silent

I was beginning to think that the intro fried the pci slot that holds my sb128. So i exchanged my pci network card with the pci slot that holds the sb128. Well the network card in that slot works fine. So that pci slot is OK.

Next i thought that maybe the sb128 is fried so tried it on  my PC comp and it worked fine. But it refuses to work on my mediator 4000. I am completly confounded as to why??
It worked fine yesterday and i havent changed anything i just ran that intro :-?

I tried the demo here with a comparable setup (Mediator, Voodoo3, SB128). Note that I am running Remapollo instead of muredox.
The intro also crashes on my system. A window without content opens, the mouse pointer disappears and the system freezes.
Before I set AHI to a 14bit Paula mode.
I tried different combinations of patches, with and without remapollo, but the intro crashes in each combination.

The SB128 is working fine. No problems there. There is no possibility that the intro "fried" your SB128, no way. :lol:

Have you checked the settings of ALL AHI units?

Yeah i doubt the intro fried it but for me sometimes when i boot my amiga and try and play an mp3 it wont work in any mp3 player..So i reset various times then it works fine,i have no idea why it does this at all...

Aaaarg it works now pheew. I quess it was like Gav said. It is almost like you have to sacrifice a goat or virgin to make your Amiga work correctly. freakin weird problem
