GUI coder? Let's co-operate for a GUI!
« on: April 12, 2003, 06:06:26 PM »
Hello! A very cool tool is ported to the
Amiga. It has been missed for a long time. But finally we have it! UCON64. Find it here: http://amiga.sourceforge.net/ucon64.htm

It is a tool that lets you transfer ROMS to and from every imaginable console. (NES/SMS/GB#?/SNES and so on...)
Perfect for making homebrewn roms.. Demos etc...

The thing is, it has no amiga GUI - YET. And it has a LOT of arguments, that can get the average user (me!) a bit confused.

I am a quite experienced graphician and I would gladly support with GFX for a GUI, and now I am looking for a coder that would be intrested in coding a nice GUI.

1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Do you know AWNPipe?
It`s a nice arexx way to do Reaction-Based GUI`s easily and lets you have a powerful script as well.It is included as contribution on OS3.9 CD.I am without time now, maybe i`ll try in some weeks.Meanwhile you can start playing with one of my scripts to learn a little bit.

Nope. I dont know AWNPipe. I will have a look.
But, the point with my post, was to find a coder,
that could do a nice GUI, as I really aint into
coding at all. And, I could supply some GFX.
I will look into AWNPipe and GUI4CLI but I really would need a coder to help me out here. Hmm..
So... if there is an intrested coder... send a mail to ... spotATtriadDOTnu
See ya!

i dont like awnpipe, but this isnt the question...

the ucon64 porter areabandonated aparently the amiga, he has a anti-MOS...

then we need a new porter and maintainer of the ucon64 port, making the gui is easy, but i cant have a useable ucon64, doesnt run on my console backup units...

any can with ucon64 ? ;)

we have started developing our own port of FLinker.
It's called AmiLinker. The problem is that
the paralell pórt in an a1200 isnt compatible to the
paralell port in PC's. So what did we do?...
We designed a HW hack.
The software can now read/write to a FlashLinker.
The development have been stalled for a while now though. The coder is busy in school. :/
