Ghostscript / IBrowse Euro Symbol Printing
« on: January 20, 2006, 12:56:12 PM »
Anyone know how do you get the Euro symbol to print correctly from IBrowse 2.2?

The AFM files for Helvetica contain the Euro symbol (located in FONTS:Postscript) and IBrowse is pointing there when it is printing Arial/Tahoma.  However a Euro symbol prints as a rounded square with 4 prongs on each corner.

If anyone has experience here, it will be most appreciated!

I think it's something to do with the charset, though I don't really know how to correct it. It could be a bug. I seem to recall the changelog at http://ww.ibrowse-dev.net mentioning something about it.

The OS3.9 Euro Update might help too, though that may only affect Amiga bitmap fonts.
