http://main.aminet.net/disk/salv/DiskSalv11_32.lha

but may not work ok if your partitions are over the 4gb barrier. it depending on the amiga os version you use
A3040/25 AmigaOS 3.9
A1260BPPC AmigaOS 3.9/4.0
Sam440ep AmigaOS 4.1.2
PegasosII/G3 AmigaOS 4.1.2/MorphOS 2.7/Debian 5.0.7/SUSE 11.1
MacMini/G4 1.5 MorphOS 2.7/OSX 10.5.8
Long Live Amiga

If i am going to have bugs on my system,
at least let me keep the latest versions.

Yea,you´re right,it doesn´t work right.
I just tried disksalv and after a unformat and a undelete operation,no files show up.
I can´t believe i lost an entire partition and i can´t salvage it.

DiskMonTools works over 4 GB.

try the ami-back tools if you can find it, it works more or less better than other tools that i try all this years with os 3,9... and later if you can, install the sfs on your partitions

@zipper: in my system the diskmontools freezes after a wile, but i don't know why...

I don´t know why,but the salvage and the undelete procedures don´t find any files on the partition although they are still on there to be undeleted.

i has this kind of damege once in the prog partition in an era when all i have was the floppy and all the backups in dd disks... i remember that i restore all the progs by hand one by one... the only solution is backup, backup, backup... from the moment that i install the cdrw i don't afraid anything anymore... the cost of the cd disks is nothing against all that ''pain'' of loss...

@Aminux

You can try it with Recover:

http://de4.aminet.net/disk/salv/Recover.lha

or RecoverII:

http://de4.aminet.net/disk/salv/RecoverII.lha

 :-)

EDIT:

Or if that doesn't work, use QBTools, if you can find it.

 Thanks,that almost did the trick!
I was not able to retrieve all of my deleted files, because they were not found by the file recovery programs.
