Thanks for posting those pictures Noster, I hope you can leave them up there for a little while.  I am working on a couple of other projects and won't be able to start my own A1000 conversion for several weeks.  I'll try to download the whole photo album, but if that is not an option, perhaps you can send them to me with your comments.

Thanks again for your time and effort.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Hi Noster, nice job on the conversion.  How did you fabricate your back pannel?  Did you use a CNC mill?

Can see the slight problem closing the case, but looks good anyway.  Must have taken quite a bit of work, right?

Cheers,

Oli
Good good study, day day up!

Hi,

@nadoom
>  Oh God WhhyyyY? :)
First: Because the A1000 was dead and I like to have Amigas arround me, now I have only Amigas in my working room :-)
Second: I wanted an adaquate case for my coming AmigaOne. Do you know a better one?

I have opened the account just for this purpose and will leave the pictures there until they close my account.

I think there is a backup-option in the software used to load the album up, I must have a look...I'm looking for a way to get an own website (without costs :-)), where I could store a complete description incl. pictures about this mod.

No, I use a drilling machine, a saw, a set of small rasps, and a couple of hours of handwork :-D

Yeah, that's how I've always done it, but your job looks neater than usual.  Looks like you did a really good job marking it out.  Also, the panel looks fairly thick, so I guess it would have been a LOT of work.  Good job.

Yes, thanks. The panel is 1.5 mm thick. The main problem with the inner metal case was to bend the lower part. Anythink else was just a question of time and sweat :-)
