Use Miami instead
« on: December 20, 2005, 03:30:51 AM »
Hi -  Use Miami instead !

I went through the same nightmare with my A1200 and 3Comm card.  Genesis just would not connect.  So I used Miami. It took a little bit of fiddling around but now it works presto and no need for static IP address bologna. Give Miami a whirl.  I'm not a Network wizard but got it to work in one evening.

I don't think you can formally register Miami anymore to get a software key for full use but the shareware version is just fine.

Miami supports DHCP?

I have an old registered copy from about 4 years ago, I'll check into it.

Did you ever get your card to work?  It took me a few weeks actually to get my A1200 on-line.  Genesys never worked and I tried all the different things you did, too.  Sorry you're having such a hard time.  I feel your pain !
