Pile of stuff being listed *one time only* on eBay soon
« on: December 18, 2005, 01:08:30 AM »
I've decided to clean out the last Amiga room here and whatever gets bid on gets sold, whatever doesn't goes either to the recycler or to the garbage dump.

What's going to be listed:

Amiga 1200 keyboards (QWERTY and bright white - all are new)
Amiga 1200 Motherboards (>10) (some have 'issues')
Amiga 2000 Motherboards (various Revs)
Amiga 3000T motherboards (one perfect and full of zips, one missing a chip)
Amiga 4000 Motherboards (3) (each have green screen but should be rapairable by Amiga France, all are Rev B)
Amiga 4000 - New Old Stock. 4000/040-25 in a 4000/030 case (that's how the last 50 from Commodore Canada came).
Amiga floppy drives (2000,500,1200 drives -- none are new old stock, all or most of these are working pulls)
Amiga 2000 keyboards (with A4000 adapters) none are new old stock, but they're all 'like new' and in great shape
Amiga video boards (Picasso II, GVP, etc)
Amiga accelerators (2620, 2630, 3640, etc. - nothing exotic)
Amiga 500/1200 BigFoot power supplies (I think I have 3 left)
One complete CD32 new old stock bundle
CD32 daughterboards (working)
CD32 cases (new)
CD32 replacement CDROM units (brand new)
Amiga software bundles (around 1000 various units)
Amiga 1200 IDE HD adapters (these were made specifically for the A1200 to use 3.5 drives they attach right to the motherboard IDE pinouts)
Amiga parts (full chipsets, partial chipsets, standoffs etc)
Amiga 'rare' parts such as the pin connectors for power supplies -- you can build your own "BigFoot" from any AT/ATX PS with these ends which plug into the 500/1200; 4000 SIMM slots; etc

Everything will be listed with complete and honest details as to what issues anything has if I list something and don't mention that "it's scratched here" or "everything works except for the pcmcia slot on this 1200 motherboard" that means it's working, tested, equipment. Everything will be sold AS IS and no refunds / returns. Lots of the 'has issues' stuff could be repaired easily (replacing a chip, fixing a solder trail, etc) but I just do not have time.

Multiple quantity items will be listed by dutch auction (for example, I'll be listing the A1200 keyboards with a starting bid of $4.95) so peopel can grab a new kb for five bucks.

Like I said: whatever sells sells, whatever doesn't gets tossed in the dumpster or sent to be recycled by kin-enterprises.com -- please don't ask for donations etc, I do not have the time to ship parts to people for free. I would prefer to find good homes for this stuff instead of it all being melted down.

Anyone here that's bought Amiga hardware from me before knows they aren't going to get screwed. If I say something was tested and works it was tested and it works. Happy bidding and don't get too goofy with the bids: I'm not selling it all because I need the money, I'm selling it all because I need the space! :-)

I might even list the world's only A2200, and all the Agent88 development boards, but I'm not sure yet. I will, at least, write an article for the forum here to set the record straight on the A2200, including photos etc.

If somebody (in Canada would be cheapest shipping) wants a few hundred (new old stock) Amiga software titles for next to free ($50 & you pay shipping or provide your shipping account info) drop me a pm.

Oh yeah... it's all "military spec"  :-D

Want to sell one of those A1200 keyboards direct instead? Also, what kind of software are you talking about? And how much do you want for that A4000/040? BTW, I'm Canadian, Toronto area so if you're local I could pick some of this stuff up.

I'm pretty sure that Dutch auctions are against ebay rules.

Against eBay rules?

A "Dutch Auction" is when you list a quantity of the same item and people can bid on one or more at the same time. eBay changed the name to "list multiple quantities" because too many people were confused by the terminology.

I've had at least 25 successful auctions this way, using eBay's built-in dutch auction feature...

Anyway, if anyone wants some of this stuff, I'm starting listing tonight, most of it will be 5 day auctions ending on thursday. A couple things from the list above are already gone to people on here and won't end up being listed.

Rev 3.1 -- It's a known working and pretested board (tested about 12 months ago, and sitting in an as/bag since).

The chip is a XC68040HRC25E and it does not have a heatsink (but you can get one with a fan from just about any computer shop for around five bucks).

@CatHerder

So let me get this straight...... You own a Cat Herding Farm? :-D

No, but seriously, I take it you live in Canada?  which would mean those CD32's of yours and A1200's are NTSC machines?

Man I tell ya...if I had the money, I would pick up the whole pile. I do wan that IDE adaptor for the A1200 though :-)

Anything for the A600?  any Video software or equipment?  ChromaKey? DCTV? Graffiti gfx box?
CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

Actually, I became "CatHerder" when I worked in LA and had a bunch of programmers to manage... managing programmers is like herding cats. Not long after, that commercial by EDS came out and I was famous I tells ya! :-)

Yes, everything is NTSC (I'm in Saskatchewan). Most of the A1200 motherboards I have, however: are from Scotland and were inventoried to Commodore Canada who then removed the TV adapters and oscillators from the boards and sold them with new oscillators and no built in whatchamacallit-tv-doodad (can you tell I'm getting sleepy?). I have about a dozen of these boards without oscillators or roms, they were all tested a couple years back and any that had problems have notes with them (eg: one works perfectly in all regards except it's PCMCIA slot is dead, which is probably a cold solder issue). Another works completely except it's PCMCIA slot is cracked, yet another works perfectly except it's composite plug doesn't funtion. A couple others just don't work, or work for a few minutes and then crash. They're all being listed right now, if I'd stop typing here that is.

All my A600 stuff is long since gone. I once had a pile of parts and perepherials for them, but I shipped much of it to Japan and sold some on eBay. I think I have a DC/TV here and will have to look (I know I had two and never sold them). I also have some midi adapaters etc. I sold all three graffitis I had as well sorry... I've also sold all 5 of my toasters, two personal animation recorders (I do still have a PC PAR here for some strange reason - god only know who'd want that, I think it'll get recycled).

I'll try to list everything on eBay that I think is useful to anyone and the rest I'll just make an executive decision on and toss in the bin. :-)

I finally got around to listing some of my A1200 motherboards. I've tried to be as honest and accurate as possible. Working from memory on a bit of the info, my notes for each board were written by wild monkies... (me namely).

Bid on them as if you're unsure if they work. I'm pretty sure they all do, but I don't guarantee anything. (Two of the boards listed I know work but each one has it's own small issue that kept me from eBaying or retailing them in the past because I had so many other 1200's to sell instead.)

Just to give you an idea of what I'm getting rid of out of my basement (since I moved and do not have the space and I want to get an entertainment centre and a pool table down here sooner rather than later)

The photos kinda suck, and when I took them the 'inventory' was a giant jumble of mess... most of the unmarked white boxes contained either 2 A1200 kits or 6 A1200 motherboards, in the back of one photo you can see 9 A4000's stacked on top of each other (all but one is gone, and I do still have 2 other 4000 motherboards that need repair -- I know Amiga France can fix them, they don't have massive issues like battery damage etc).

If I had been smart, I would have trashed 1/2 of it and just kept the machines and the parts and got my butt in gear and listed it all (except that meant going through each and every box and sorting stuff). Now, I just want to get rid of what's left so I can get it out of the way and get my new hardwood flooring down in my basement "party" room. I was going to load it all up and truck it away but it somehow seems wrong to throw out Amigas.

Do you still have any of the A4000 left? I'm looking to buy one and since you're also Canadian it would be cheaper in terms of shipping.

I have one working A4000 left -- I don't know if I have a floppy drive for it though (I think I sold all of them without ensuring I didn't keep one for this machine). When I last looked I was also missing a double sided 2MB SIMM for the chip ram (all the simms I have are 4MB and they show up as 1MB in the chip slot) but that would probably be something you could find easily yourself.

It's an A4000/030 branded case with an 040-25 (3640) inside. I'll get around to setting it up in the next couple days and let you know where it's at. The motherboard has visited Amiga France where they replaced the battery and did a complete board test and fixed anything that looked like it should be fixed was fixed/replaced (I shipped them 6 boards at one time to get tested and have batteries changed, this is the last one sitting here).

I also have 4 or 5 working (NTSC) A4000 power supplies here as well, each one of them has a "sticky" switch, but I have 5 or 6 replacement switches... another thing to get around to doing.

I'll let you know in anycase. (whole lot of rambling to get to that hey?)

Also, do you have any of the old Commodore monitors? Such as the 1940, 1942, 1960 etc. that can do 15kHz and 30+kHz?

What about the A3000T I saw in one of the pics?  Do you still have it?  I would be very interested in getting that before you send it to eBay.

How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
