But from the notes I eventually ran across here the 2 or 3 of these 68060->68040 adapters they tried in an Amiga 4000 (3640) never did run stable enough to offer as a retail product (this is back in 1994/95).
What this animal appears to be is one of these
S68060-2 Smart Socket from emulation.com (or one of their first generation models) -- but at $430 listed price it seems rather... extremely rediculous?
