LCARS System
« on: December 15, 2005, 05:04:27 PM »
If you want a real LCARS system, a Star Trek-style GUI: large clock, cal., games, text editor, maps, animations, file manager, Web-page viewer, media players, calc., unit converter, utils., reference library, sims., for a TrueColour Win 9x or DOS-only laptop with std. graphics card & Sound Blaster ; there is one available for download at SourceForge.
It requires a laptop all its own, or it can share one with Windows if the machine is started up in pure DOS mode so that Windows stays out of the way.
In Standby mode it's just a clock and calendar, with MIDI alarm, on a standard LCARS screen.

He's skirting the edge of SF rules by not posting all the source. He only posts the GUI source. None of the apps using the GUI have any source posted or in the cvs.
