OK. So I got Amiga Explorer setup. I had to do it twice because I didn't follow their instructions exactly. Strange how that works, eh?
Anyhoo, I finally DID get it working and after that was done, I checked it out - it works very nicely over the Belkin universal null modem/serial cable I bought and I could see my Amiga's hard drive from my Windows desktop. Cool! So I am copying an ADF file of a game I want to play on the Amiga. The next question is two fold:
I recognize I could now play it from a floppy on the amiga. I just need the application (on the Amiga) that allows me to essentially "convert" the ADF file from ADF format to a floppy format. On the other hand, this seems clunky at best.
My other option, and the one I'd like to work with, is that I'd love to find a way to copy the contents of the ADF file into a directory on the hard drive of the Amiga and play it from there.
I appreciate any advice on these topics. I'm not expecting anyone to walk me through it step by step, but I'd appreciate guidance.
I'd like to again thank everyone here on the forums, you've all been very helpful to me so far. It is MUCH appreciated.
EDIT: DOH... so reading the Amiga Explorer documentation more I see I can do the first thing automatically, apparently. I just drag an ADF file from the PC directly over the DF0: icon in Amiga Explorer. So then my second question is more appropriate at this point.
