@humppa
You might be right, but have gotten some offers through this board where the 100 EURO is more or less half the price I would have to pay, and I'm still considering those offers. I have also bought BPPCs through ebay which haven't had any problems.
@thread
As a side note; I decided to put up the A1200 this evening, and made some adjustments. I replaced the PSU with a 450W one, and installed a 2.5" laptop drive. The computer now runs more or less stable if I press S during boot to disable the SCSI controller, and everything else seems to work (PPC demos work, ram is seen and used and of course the 68k works)
If I boot without pressing S, the actual loading of Workbench takes up till 45 seconds as oposed to 8 seconds without SCSI enabled (and the time searching for SCSI drives has been deducted). If I boot with SCSI I also get a wierd requestor now and then
Fatal error
Unit -1 (or something absurd like 1854354)
Illegal script instruction exception
Serial or OK
Any ideas? Or does anybody know if I can make the SCSI controller invisable to the card by removing just one component other than the SCSI chip? Then I could at least use it as a BPPC board with no SCSI....
