Hum,
if you have XP  then don't bother using HDF...

Just create a folder in the WinUAE drawer.

Boot winuae (from your WB floppy or HD) and copy Amiga system files, etc straight into that folder.

The HDF drawer should, however, behave just like a virtual Amiga Drive - er, just like the PC folder that contains your copied Amiga  files.

------------
If you are trying to access the HDF files from a real Amiga then you'll have to access them through a PC set-up with WINUAE (floppy, serial port etc)

Thanks for the quick respond.

I tried to do exactly what you wrote down, but something wrong. I still don't get it how to use or open hdf files. Even if i copy the system files to the same drawer, why they should work? Is no special program to work with them. If the system files would be enough then why i need winuae, just do everything on amiga. Did U use it before this procedure?

HDF files are not meant to be used on an Amiga. These files are virtual hard drives for emulators like WinUAE. You can use the "Add Hardfile" option in WinUAE to add it to your existing configuration. On the Amiga you can use DiskImage to mount files as virtual hard drives. UnArc resp. xadmaster should be able to read them, too.
