I loved that film when I was a kid.

Film? You mean you haven't read the book? You savage! :-P

I have actually but I read it before I saw the film and the film stayed in my memory better.

I guess I should read it again...... :-)

I don't have an AmigaOne but the fact the date shows a time right down to the seconds level suggests this is the on-board clock.

So, we're resorting  to criticising and making fun of the AmigaOne just because one user can't be bothered setting the clock right?

Pathetic!
Caught a bolt of lightning... Cursed the day he let it go!

No, it's not the on-board clock. I took those pictures in January, if I remember correctly... One of  the Friedens (don't remember which one, sorry) told me that their machine had a wrong time settings at the time when they flashed the rom (or something like that)... Anyway, it's a rather old picture. Nowdays I have a 512MB Kingston ECC/REG memory module, so I'm not running the machine with 100MHz FSB anymore.

The answer to this mistery is actually quite simple:

AmigaONE is just following tradition of Classic Amiga: it`s way ahead of it`s time :)

Depends which version. Cyberstorm version should be out any day now (TM). AmigaOne version probably needs a bit more development/betatesting. BlizzardPPC version is a complete unknown to me.

But 2003 for the two first, that's for sure.

@ole-egil

Have have to disagree ..... (oh what suprise :-P )

According to the little public info we got from Hyperion in
the last times, they are just about to run an OS3.9 on top
of Petunia/ExecSG. Even if it would be rock-stable, releasing
such a version would just be suicide, and a fesival for the
competition as it would be just on par with MOS0.1 .....
(which had a static 68k-emu instead of the JIT, but still)

Something like this is good to show the state of affairs, but a
release version has to come with atleast the core-parts in PPC,
working WOS-emu, intrgrated P96, and some extras.

Remember they are expecting people to pay for it  ;-)
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else
