Picked up a scanner! (software question)
« on: December 06, 2005, 03:23:07 PM »
Hey Guys, I just picked up an old scanner (Primax Colorado Direct 9600) and managed to find the drivers for this model on aminet. Is there any other sort of program I will need to be able to scan or can I simply use dpaint, ppaint or imagefx to get the image from the scanner to my amiga?
Specs:
A1200PT, mediator c/w voodoo 3 2000, sb128, 60G HDD,OS3.9,LITEON CDR, nec 4x4 changer,External Scan Doubler,Cocolino adapter,PS2 keyboard adaptor.

Morphos 2.6, mini mac g4 @ 1.25ghz.

From what the readme says I would guess that ImageFX is the only program which will be able to scan. Additionally you need this special parallel port extension "PARalizer A1200" which I never heard of before.

Bye,
Thomas

I was wondering what a "PARalizer A1200" was lol
PARalizer
Owell I'll stick the scanner in the loft with the C64's until I find some use for it:)

Best idea is to stick with SCSI scanners for using with an old (classic?) Amiga. I have an old Epson that works great!
