actually going to post the link here but was beat-out by other observent amigans.
I heard the warning sirens when I read "private auction" and no feedback posted. I'd never buy from somebody like that - just like I am very cautious about buying from first time sellers with "0" transactions.
Actually tracking the person down and having a face-2-face confrontation is a sure way to get things resolved. Doomy did you <> do that? Or was this more of a creative rendition? If I sell anything to you I'll make darn sure you are a happy customer : ) Not everyone is able to make a road trip to their seller's location unfortunately.
A few years ago (jeez this was back in Compuserve Days) I sold a fellow a GVP accelerator that was never paid for. Way out in the Mid-West USA. I called the local police and had them track the guy down. He was rattled by the experience and paid me the same day (from the postage markings on the envelope anyway).
Definately Caveat Emptor - may the buyer be ware !
