Amiga Forever UAE - WTF?
« on: November 22, 2005, 01:48:25 AM »
Hi -

I just installed Amiga Forever 2005 and can not seem to do a darn thing with it !   Other than loading the default Amiga Forever workbench, I can not figure out how to load any Amiga disk files or programs.  I've got lots of original Amiga disks and used differnt utilities to generate the ADF Amiga Disk files.

When I use the WinUAE Configuration utility I tried loading ADF files using the Disk Drives utility, and also the Disk Swapper utility.  Loading a file there prevents me from booting into the Amiga Forever Workbench.

Is there some vault of knowledge on the Web somewhere where I can find some instructions on how to configure this software emulator?

WTF?
Amiga 4000D/040 Warp Engine/SCSI-CD/Cybergraphic64/X-Surf
Amiga 1200T 060/60 PPC603e BVision and more
Amiga 1200 nice white case GVP1230/1291SCSI
Amiga 2500 stock 2630 GVP HC+8(4)CD-ROM

Hi the easist way I have found to use Af is to use a existing Amiga hard drive via a USB port connection. When you use WinUae just add a harddrive & it will see your Amiga drive. you can then use opus to copy whatever you need over. hope that helps.

My question is:

How do you get an original Amiga formatted hard drive to plug into a USB port ??????

WTF?

It's functioning like a real Amiga. If you boot with a bootable disk in the drive then it boots from the disk. If there is no disk in the drive, then it boots from hard disk. If you put in a disk after booting from the hard drive, then an icon for the disk will appear on the Workbench (if the disk is readable).
