Greetings from a returned Amigoid in Toronto.
« on: November 10, 2005, 06:03:06 AM »

Hello folks. I just resurrected my Amiga4000 the same day I bought a 3gighurts PC box. Wow, I've forgotten how to work the thing! I can't even remember the last time it was turned on. Funny, the interface is still faster on the Amiga than Windoze!!

My set up is:
GVP IV24
AD516
Cybergrafix
Cyberstorm PPC
(get this) Syquest 88MB
dead 1950 monitor
DCTV (not using that one)
CD32 w/SX1? - I'll have to use that to play all the old MOD and demos I found on floppy. Some of that stuff was really cool from what I remember. I need to find a PAL capable monitor.

Unfortunatly I don't have my first Amiga anymore. It was an A2000 bought back in '89. I really loved that machine. Still my favourite box.

I'm going to spend the next week or so going through my 1000 floppies and try to figure out how to use the system again. I've tons of reading in the forums to do I think. First order of business is upgrading the OS. I think I can run 4.0 with the PowerPC...anyway, I'm starting to ramble...much to re-learn. I can't believe how much software I actually have for this. Anybody remember Caligari? I have stuff I don't even remember. I never program but I have SAS/c compiler and Maple V!!

Well, I'm glad to be back in the Amiga!! Now if I could only find that BattleSquadron disc!

Regards,
Tashko.
