Softkicking an A600 to 3.x
« on: March 29, 2003, 04:48:29 AM »
I've tried different programs on aminet with no sucess. My amiga 600 has 2mb chip ram, no fast ram. Softboot needs 512k chip 2mb fast to run.. it says not enough memory when I try to run it, even with no startup sequence. Can anyone reccomend a kicker that will work with my hard ware configuration? A600HD, 2mb chip.. thanks.

Been a long time since I tried it, but I think I had either Relokick or Kick13 working at one stage.

I know it was very fiddley, and for running old progs on the A600 it's a lot more reliable to get yourself an OS 1.3 ROM and a ROM switcher, so you can choose to boot 1.3 or 2.x.  Though under 1.3 I doubt the A600's hard driver controller will work.
