VGA Auto switch
« on: October 17, 2005, 06:01:45 AM »
Will this work with a video card (Voodoo 5) and a FF/SD module that has VGA out?

Heard here and there of a specific one many on here use but I have no idea what that was...

Interesting.  I'm not sure if it will work though, but please try and report back.  ;-)   Reason is the AGA/Voodoo signals are never fully cut when switching, just set to a blank screen.

Thanks for the find.  I might get one on my own and see what it can do.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

The video signal from the primary computer is always displayed. When it's time to switch displays, simply cut the feed to the primary port and the AVS210 automatically defaults to the video signal on the secondary port. You never have to push a button or flip a switch!

Depends on what is meant by "cut the feed". The Amiga Video (Scandoubler) output is always on, so this has to be the secondary input. The gfx card might or might not go into power-save mode while an Amiga screen mode is used. So it might or might not work. I'd prefer a switch with a button on it.

Bye,
Thomas
