Bizarre Shaped Building
« on: October 07, 2005, 05:40:41 PM »
On "Corolla Altis" advertisements there are pictures of the car with bizarre shaped buildings on the background.

I found the first building in France:

http://modular.fas.harvard.edu/pics/ascent3_pics/January01/25Jan01-bordeaux/dscf1308.jpg

The second building is like the result of:
1. Build ordinary cube brown building with arched windows.
2. Take a giant chainsaw and cut the building into several layers.
3. Put one layer of the building on top of another in a "zig-zag" way.

There are 4 horse statues at the corner of the building.

Is this a real building or a computer generated image?

Another (third) Toyota Altis 2005 advertisement (6 MB):

http://www.toyota.com.tw/buycar/download/TVC/altis_2005.zip

On the above advertisement, a giant needle / obelix  is cut into several pieces with the same result.

Perhaps the 2nd advertisement is also a computer generated images, but with 3D model of a building, not an obelix.

No.
There is no Asterix, Vitalstatistix, Getafix in Japan/ Asia:

Astérix === Asuterikkusu
Obélix === Oberikkusu
Panoramix === Panoramikkusu
Assurancetourix === Ashurantorikkusu
Abraracouricix === Aburarakurusikkusu

OT: The new Asterix comic:

Today Albert Uderzo held a press conference in Brussels, officially presenting the new Asterix! It will be in the bookshops from October 14 in 27 countries and translated into 15 different languages - at least. The initial number of prints will be 8,000,000 worldwide!
