Contacting Eyetech
« on: October 03, 2005, 08:52:51 PM »
I need to speak to Eyetech about an order I have placed. I emailed them a few days ago but they haven't got back to me. Does anyone have a phone number for them? There isn't one on there web site!

Thanks
Mark

Did you ever speak with eyetech? I ordered a SD/FF and haven't gotten a response from them.

when I went through my ordering process w/ eyetech, it took abo. 5 days to a week for each response.  I have a feeling they are either overswamped or under maned.

BUT!  I always did get a response, and this was in the last month...

Oh dear, I just tried that number and got an automated message telling me that the number was not accepting calls. And still no reply to my email.  :-(

I may be wrong, but I didn't think they sold to end-users anymore - I thought they disbanded their retail operations a while back.

That's strange, as I ordered something and was then emailed to say that it was out of stock, and that they had cancelled the order. I ordered something else, and have heard nothing.

By the way Amigakit, I received my 3.1 ROMs from you today, thanks :)

Well I give up. I have still heard nothing from Eyetech. If they try to charge me for the product I will be reporting the transaction as fraudulent, as in my opinion the retailer has no intention of supplying me with the goods I have ordered.

I've waited a week. I ordered a SD/FF and then emailed them twice to follow up.  Nothing, I give up and will dispute any charges (although I don't expect any).

This has happened with every Amiga company I've tried two order through... except softhut.. who emailed me to tell me that they didnt have them (even though the web page says "UPDATE: IN STOCK!!!").  This turns me off from wanting to order through ANY of these companies ever again.

Makes me think they simply don't care. So frustrating when there are people out there who want to buy Amiga equipment, but the merchants aren't interested in selling it to them. They could at least have the courtesy to respond to emails if they have no stock or if they are unprepared to sell the item.

Very disappointing.

I too have emailed them last week and still no response. I think they may have finished trading  :boohoo:  or like someone else said "over run, under staffed".

I've recently ordered stuff from them too, but no word... I ordered mine nearly 2 weeks ago now.. so frustrating...

I wish I knew if they were ever going to ship it so I could maybe go look for the item on eBay or something :\
