Hi End & Low End AmigaOS 4 Hardware
« on: September 26, 2005, 05:19:40 AM »
Because problems with MAI Chipsets and possibility of running AmigaOS 4 on Tundra Chipset and PowerPC 405,
I suggest creating 2 versions of new hardware for running AmigaOS 4:

1. Low End: Sanyo PowerPC "All-in-one" SOC.
2. Hi End: System based on Tundra TSI108A (Dual PowerPC G4 CPU):

Tsi108A™: Host Bridge for PowerPC®
High performance host bridge offering best system performance-per-watt and best system performance-per-dollar
Power management features for processors and memory devices
* 200 MHz 60x/MPX processor bus
* Dual CPU support
* Advanced pipeline architecture
* DDR2 Memory Controller - up to 50% memory power savings compared to DDR
* Integrated Clock Generator with optional Spread Spectrum capability
* Designed for 200MHz operation with only 8 PCB layers
* Low latency non-blocking internal switch fabric

Is this idea possible?
Is there any license from Amiga Inc / Hyperion for the new hardware?
