nutty Amiga 1000 keyboard question
« on: September 22, 2005, 01:46:26 AM »
Okay here's a nutty question. Is there any hardware available that would allow me to use my old Amiga 1000 keyboard (with the phonejack-style connector) as a PS/2 or USB keyboard?

This is probably a pipe dream, but I'm a keyboard nut and I've never used a better feeling keyboard than the one from my old trusty A1000. I would go ape if I could get it to work on my PC running Amiga Forever 2005. :)

thanks,

Kelly Martin

I believe there was a hack to make an A2000 keyboard work,
and if I remember right the shortcoming was the three finger
reset sequence didnt work with any hack because the 2000 reset logic was on the motherboard, the 500 and 1000 was on the keyboard itself. Dont flame me if I'm wrong 'cause its
been a decade since I faced this issue.

I know there were ps2 to a2000 adapters and you might be able to hack a work around.
