Blizzard PPC 060/240/SCSI on eBay

I have just followed in the steps of mdma and listed a Blizzard PPC board with no reserve price on eBay. You can see the auction here... Happy bidding.

I would recommend that whoever wins that auction specifies that the item be insured and sent registered/tracked mail. I only lost 35 Euros, but I would hate to see somebody lose a couple of hundred Euros because of a postal problem.

Less than 8 hours left of the auction, go ahead and bid, you know you want to ;-)

I'm surprised it's still well below £100 with 3 hours to go.

Thought it might just've broken that barrier by now.

Less than 2 hours to go, and still at 56 GBP. Don't miss out on this one ladies and gentlemen.

If I had the money and Paypal then I'd be bidding on this to replace my BPPC040...

Vincent, read carefully before bidding. The worst thing doctorq needs about this auction is a misinformed bidder who didn't read the description too well.

@ Vincent

"..However, any ram attached to the board isn't recognised, and therefore it is not possible for me to check if the PPC CPU still works either. I have already tried to use ram sticks that is confirmed to work, but to no avail :( Therefore I can only sell this board as defective, but maybe someone with electronics skills can bring the card back to its full potential.."

That's why the price stays low.

@ X56

Indeed, any confusion could have been better avoided if the seller stated that the board is defective, somewhat earlier in the description...perhaps even in the short item description.

There are two options with this card :

1) have the Ram thingy fixed
2) use the processors to upgrade a BPPC 160/040 card

Both options are clearly not for beginners like me. The only experience I have is watching with admiration how a pro does it
