as far as aiming at a TV goes, 2 sensors go to the far corners of the TV to define the screen area. So regardless of your display method (projection, VGA, HDTV, SCART, NTSC, progressive, LCD, plasma), point-n-kill will always work.
It doesn't use the Duck Hunt scan line method so all displays on the planet are supported. Genius and simple as it should be.
