Hey everyone!
I need some help from all you lovely people!
I'm doing my dissertation on DRM for my Uni course and I need some people to help me out by filling in a questionaire about what you believe is legal and what's not in the situations I present regarding the aquirement of music.
My theory is that the majority of those that use Internet services to get their music do not know the full extent of the law with regards to there actions. Therefore it is the government that should educate the masses at a young age.
By making everyone aware and accountable for their actions, we could hopefully see a reduction in piracy and (also hopefully) a reduction in DRM for music.
I would be very grateful if you could email me your results (E-mail address removed per members request) and encourage those that are not quite so confident about answering correctly to have a go (It's you that I want answers from- if everyone is tiptop on their knowledge of copyright law, then my theory is bunk)
I hope this isn't regarded as spamming (If it is, then by all means remove it mods).
Also any thoughts on my theory (Be it negative or positive) and what your own thoughts on what the future of DRM will look like, would be also greatly appreciated.
Thanks
