Hey-diddly doodly
« on: July 10, 2005, 08:17:26 PM »
Hey all just joined the boards and wanted to say hi. I've been a loyal Amigan since the A500 batman days! In my posession I have an A500 with ram expansion, an A600 that needs repaired , an Escom A1200HD, a sparkly CD32 from the first production run and an 1084S Monitor. Was just wondering what cables I'd need to hook my CD32 to the monitor (as my gamecube, ps2 and neogeo hog my scarts on the tv and normal RF is nasty quality) and what I can do to ressurect the A600. On turning it on I get a black screen and the LEDs all light up and stick. Hopeing to get this sorted so I can start doing some networking and modding

cd32 can be connected thru composite video like other gamemachines, and i think 1084 supports S-video connection too, but u will need a "hosiden > two cinch" reduction

ah im misread  it xou have scart input on 1084 :) so make cable on your own. its easy

1084 schematics here :)
too lazy to use shift key properly...

Yeah but the problem with the tv is that when my gf ain't using the peecee then she's hogging the tv with the ps2. I'm thinking of buying a sx32 from eyetech so maybe this will solve my problems lol. See I got the CD32 2 weeks ago with no box, manuals or proper RF lead, lucky I had spares but then I did get the machine and a ton of games/coverdiscs for a bargain price, so I'd be a sod to complain!

Ooh that's true... all I would nees then is the yellow video cable as I have 2 sound cables and plenty of RGB plugs lieing about (2 pilfered from ps2s and the other supplied with my cube) would these work?

Hmm I just checked the monitor and saw know scart input but i did see yellow cable jacks next to the sound cable jacks, would a video cable work here? Thanks for the help and sorry if I seem dumb it's just been a good while since I've done anything of this calibre since pcs are pretty much idiot proof lol.

Thanks for all the messages. It's one of the things I've missed most about the amiga is just how great the community is, from the PD houses to the guys that worked for the mags. Btw in answer to your question Cyberus I'm from aberdeen (let the sheep jokes commence  )
