Ateobus and Pixel64
« on: July 02, 2005, 09:13:07 PM »
Hey all, I have the above mentioned and I'm trying to get it to work in an A1200 (Rev 1d1) with an Apollo 040/33mhz card. The system works, and I get the colours and a soft reboot, with nothing in the ateobus the system works as normal, but when I add the Pixel64 it loads but does not complete the boot sequence unless (yes I know it's dodgy) I remove the pixel64, the moment I do this the machine continues to load up. Any one know if there is anything I can try, or where I can get hold of another Pixel64? The chipset is Cirrus Logic CL-GD5434Many thanks

I had the Ateo & P64 working with a Blizzard '060, and it's still working
for my Dad with a GVP '030.

The Pixel 64 was a commercially available PC videocard relabeled by Ateo.
I bought a used one on eBay, but have lost my record of what it was---I
have to open up my Dad's machine to test an old SCSI card soon---I'll
try to figger out what the board is.

In the Startup-Sequence, near SetPatch, it should execute:

C:StartAteoBus INT2 NOREBOOT

or something similar.

I don't remember whether I had issues with which slot the video card was in,
but that's worth trying, too.

Good luck,

Walter
