A3000 D Schematics Rev 9 Board

Can anybody point me to a good source for Amiga Schematics?

I have an A3000 playing up bad and all the schematics I can find on the net refer to older Revision Boards

Indeed, I have looked there as well .

I could be wrong but it seems to be for an older model Motherboard!

I am trying to look for faults due to damage from battery leakage.  The schematics I have found so far appear to have a different chip in the place of the one I'm trying to check signals from.

Damn, I'm real pissed off.  After spending every available moment I could spare over the last 2 weeks building this A3000 Mobo into it's case, fiddling with a multitude of problems including the conversion of PC floppy drives and getting to the point that it was all working, I put the metal plates I had built into place screwed it all up so everyting was mounted descent, I turn it on to a flashing power light and constant rebooting.  I didn't do anything wrong that I can see.  My suspicion is that when finally tightening the baord into the case, I have maybe stretched a bad track around the battery corrosion area.  I don't wanna give up yet.  It was working fine then suddenly nothing.  I can't follow the schematics off the net that I have found, they are useless.
Looks like weeks and weeks of futile stuffing around ahead and maybe I'll never figure it out.

I believe you can purchase a repair manual for the A3000 with plenty of schematics from ebay. Usually centsisoft has a few.

Twas helpful, he is/was having a similar problem.  I have done lots of testing now after realising that the schematics I have are useful.  The chip that is different in the schematics(74HC14) from whats on my board (74HC04) is identical in function and pinout.  Apparently the one on my board 74HC04 is better (less noise).
Very time consuming and no luck yet.  Found one trace open, fixed it, but made no diff .  I'll update when/IF there is a change to Ami's Health.  :-(

Anthony Hoffman has a different designation of the A3000's RTC-chip on his wonderful site: the RP5C01.

The differences between various revisions of boards are quite subtle, don't get hung up about finding the exact revision manual.

The first place I'd look for problems is corrosion in the Paula/Denise sockets, which are right beside the RTC battery.
If any socket contacts appear green in colour, the entire socket needs to be replaced.  Cleaning generally won't help much.

If these sockets seem OK, then try reseating all the socketed devices on the board (mainly just the DIL devices), don't worry about the PLCC devices like Gary, etc, unless you have a proper PLCC removal tool, else you'll damage the socket.
The PLCC sockets are generally reliable anyhow, unlike the DIL ones :-x

I have a lot of green sockets in one dead a2000. But it worked fine. That green stuff is VERY hard to remove. I've tried replacing sockets (68K and ROM) with no luck.

BTW, I'd say that 'reseating' chips might not be a good idea when there are green pins as it might actually loose contact.

Do you have any solution for those sockets other than replacing them with new ones?
