A4000T and DCE internal scandoubler, any hints?

Hi. I just bought one of these http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=363 a DCE ScanMagic Internal Scandoubler/Flickerfixer (also sold by Eyetech) that attaches to the Lisa and Alice chips. But I have an A4000T (original), and well... it doesn't fit. The main PCB is obstructed by the disk module, even after shaving it down approx 1mm on that side. I've been looking around for a PLCC height extender, but all I've found so far cost 150-200$
So what I'm asking, is:
-Has anyone successfully shoehorned one of these into an A4000T? If so, how??
-Or perhaps someone knows a cheap place to buy a 84pin PLCC height extender?
-Or perhaps someone wants to buy the Scandoubler, since I probably can't use it anyway...

I would indeed be interested in it :-) I have a Micronik Scandy Zorro scabdoubler to trade with if interested :-)

Is there a chance that you could cut a notch in the disk module? I don't know how much the module obstructs, but are you 100% certain you can't cut a notch in it (I could X-ray my module if the obstruction is a small amount, then you could see how much is 'notchable')

Hi,

the two wires only grab horizontal and vertically syncronisation.
Cut and solder them to the RGB-port.
It should not occur damage, if H/V were exchanged - only no picture.  :-D

Yup, that's the Alice adapter, and that one fits nicely.
The big PCB that is supposed to go on Lisa is the problem, even after shaving off approx 1mm of the PCB (unused space on the end) the PCB touches and bends the bare pins the disk module is supposed to sit on... Which means we are talking big time hw-hacking here to make it work. Well, at least way more delicate SMT soldering than I like...

I have considered cutting away a piece of the black connector on the disk module, but without the disk module in place, the Scanmagic PCB touches, and slightly bends, the pins that the disk module sits on.
I guess I could always hardwire the disk module to the mainboard, but, well, soldering 56 short wires is something I'd rather avoid. Maybe I'll try to make my own PLCC height extender... Or just buy a video slot scandoubler.

I'll hang onto it for a few more days, haven't quite decided yet. As for price, I guess I'll stick it up on the forum and see whoever offers the most.
This also includes a BMon video-switcher (it was included with the SD/FF when I bought it), a device that allows simple switching between AGA and a Graphics card, prefereably a BV-PPC or a CV-PPC, but if you can make some custom cabling and have a multimeter availiable, any two VGA-sources can be hooked up to it, and switched either with the included switch mounted on 5,25" faceplate, Eyetech's EZ-key A1200-keyboard interfaces, or any other custom made switch to supply +5v to the BMon...
