@leofoe
Hi Leofoe...................You just ran into the Biggest SCALA enthusiast in the world.....ME! I dont know a single human who loves scala more than I do....as a matter of fact my stage name when I do performances (With SCALA and other software) is Scala!. I use SCALA more than any other application on My Amiga CD32/SX32 Pro 68030 @ 50mhz, 40Gig HD, 128Mb Ram, Harware MAS MP3 decoder and tons of Video Software.
Scala rules massively..........people dont realize how good this application is.not even SCALA Inc. themselves.......if they knew...........PowerPoint would not exist or would cease to. Now of course the current Power Point is SUPER high quality output...but compare it to Scala iPlay on the PC. I also Have MediaPoint on the Amiga........which does stuff Scala doesnt normally do............the interface looks kinda cool, but much harder and more awkward to use.
anyway, keep in touch with me for Scala help or even just to talk about the stuff we are doing.........I am currently working on a gameshow type Game using Scala..its loooking massively cool. Using Real Video via the Scala ECHO device.........I act as the Game show host for now in it.
I dot have InfoChannel though..........I am dying for a copy...........almost got one off ebay but got outbid..............I just recieved a Demo of VideoStage Pro! its another Scala type program which looks good so far......there is Also ImageVision which does neat stuff.........and of course Broadcast Titler 2.0 which has excellent looking fonts and smooth wipes.
Oh and by the way..to transer files to your A1200 from a PC, why not add an internal CDR laptop drive to it? then just transfer stuff from CD? there is a cool link on this site that shows 2 different ways to do it.
or get a Compact Flash card of any size and use that to transfer files.........(Yes, Amiga can use Compact Flash, Sony Memory Stick, SD cards, and MicroDrives..with just adding some software from aminet on your HD) Get Fat95.lha and cf.lha from Aminet. I have a 2Gigabyte PCMCIA memory card on my Amiga :-)
