Hello!

Up to now, I've used my A1200 wired to a Sony LCD monitor through the external MV1200 scandoubler/flickerfixer with the standard interlaced pal screenmode (640x512).

But I've two little issue I'd like to solve... :-D

First of all, the workbench screen doesn't cover the entire screen so I've a bad grey frame around my desktop.
I see the same frame if I use a not-interlaced pal screenmode while, if I boot from a floppy disk, the image covers the full screen.

In addition, as I said, I'm using a LCD monitor so lower resolutions than its native (1280x1024) are showed not so well. I know that I can't reach a so high resolution with AGA only, but it'll be great if I can use a 15khz screenmode with a little higher resolution than standard interlaced pal.

Any idea?  :-)

Thanks in advance
Alex

hi Alex, I don´t have much experience with a scandoubler, but without scandoubler the best resolution can be reached with Double Pal Hires Noflicker. Should be possible to get up to 782x512 or something like that ...

Also when you have your Workbench installed then use in Prefs the program Overscan to get rid of the grey edges of your Workbench screen :)

Unfortunately the scandoubler doesn't hook the DblPal frequency so I can't use any screenmode different from standard 15khz. Do you know if and where I can find a similar screenmode in standard Pal? That resolution could be great...

Yes... obviously I've already tried but the gray frame is very large and I can't solve with overscan's prefs. Now I take a photo of the monitor so you can see...  :-D

... can I contact you in PMail for a couple of your 128MB RAM modules?

THANKS
Alex

CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

@leirbag28

You can download it from the "other software" section of this site.
It's a very simple program called "NiceBar" programmed by an Italian girl  :-)

@starf81

Try searching Aminet for something like Black border. That should take care of the grey square surrounding your Workbench screen.

I think you should play with OVERSCAN which resides in Prefs... that will get rid of any border, just set it to the max

@keropi

I've just played with Overscan Prefs but I've reached its limits. I know... there is always a little of frame around the  WB screen but I don't know how to fill it.
