A4000/030 Floppy Drives
« on: June 18, 2005, 03:15:29 PM »
Hello all Amigans

My name is Laurie and I live on the south Coast of england

I have recently returned to Amigas after a 10 year lay off. I had to send my A4000/030 mother board to the Amiga Centre in France for repair. An excellent service and the machine is now up and running. I had fitted a second floppy drive years ago, a Power computing1.76MB internal XL Drive. When fitting this drive it had to be DF0 and so the originaal Floppy had to have its jumper settings altered to make it DF1. I wish to remove the XL Drive but do not know the original jumper settings. Can anyone out there tell me the jumper settings to return it to DF0. At the moment to make it DF0 the jumper covers the lower left 2 pins. Is there any danger of damaging the drive if I experiment with jumper settings?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
