£160 is a pretty good price for a Blizzard PPC, AFAIK. This will allow you to run WarpOS and PowerUP programs, and later MorphOS and OS4, so its not a bad thing to have :)

It looks good to me, I'd certainly pay that for one.

The accelerator alone won´t make you able to run OS4 as it needs a graphics card. Nor will it be much worth without a BVisionPPC anyway. But it´s a good place to start if you wanna upgrade your A1200.

Well, you need to listen better :-p.

Hyperion did say it should be available for BlizzPPC.

I had one of those. It worked fine. If it's worth the money? Well yes, if you want to keep using the classic Amiga and still run the PPC programs available for the classic Amiga.

The future? AFAIK, both OS4 and MorphOS has been developed partially using these kind of boards. Betatesters have tried the OS on those. But just because the new OS's might run on those Amiga Classic PPC boards, it doesn't mean that they will be commercially available in that shape. In fact, I don't think that neither OS4 nor MorphOS will be sold separately for those in the end. I know what has been said, but I doubt it will happen in the end. It would mean a nightmare to support all thinkable configurations out there and to get it stable on those. And the performance will be much lower that the A1/Pegasos anyway, so I wonder if it will be worth it. Well, we'll see what's happens in the future ...

MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)
