WOW! Apple CEO Steve Jobs is reportedly set to announce today that Apple will switch from the PowerPC chip to an Intel x86-based chip. Jobs is delivering a keynote at Apple's World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco. Oh well, Motorola/IBM will still have the game box platform. But, IMHO, wouldn't this open a door for Amiga? If there was ever any fear of Apple calling Amiga Inc. out for creating an OS on the G3/4 chip (or just the sheer competition factor), this should squelch it! IBM is going to want to do business with somebody on the RISC platform and it might as well be Amiga. OK, so this all sounds far fetched, but hey, it could happen. I don't know, I don't follow what Amiga, Inc. is doing so maybe I'm way off the mark here. :-?
