Running Amiga games on pc
« on: June 06, 2005, 03:31:21 AM »
I was wondering if anyone could help me run amiga games on the pc. I had an amiga and loads of games, but then the amiga died and now i just have all these games.

I've heard of WinUAE emulator, which i downloaded along with a kickstart(illegal sorry about that), but i'm a little confused when it comes to the roms.

I basically want to play Indiana Jones and the last crusade, which it seems is totally illegal to download.

Why not go for the Real Thing and get yourself a bargain Amiga from E-Bay?If you still have lots of working games then it'll sure be worth the investment. :-)

@micfirepow

Since you're new to emulation then I'd definitely recommend Amiga Forever.  You'll get a load of legal ROMs and an easy-to-use emulator that's all setup.  You'll also be supporting a company that's produced Amiga software.

If you've got Indy stashed away on Amiga disks then it is actually possible to copy it for use on an emulator.  Otherwise, can you buy a copy of the game anywhere, even if it's the PC version?  If so, ScummVM will play it fine - you don't need an emulator.

Amiga Forever is good.  It is pre configured, taking all the hassel of setting up the Amiga.  It comes with officially licenced Amiga ROMS so is legal and has Workbench included.

It also has a few extras such as Amiga advert video clips and Dave Haynie's Death Bed Vigil video.

We have plenty AF6 (the latest version) in stock now.
