My A1G4XE setup will be like this (when the mobo arrives)..
« on: March 09, 2003, 03:02:59 PM »
Hello! My A1G4XE system will consist of these equipments when i build it. I am still awaiting my motherboard, but here is just an idea of how my system will be in the end:

800Mhz AmigaOne G4-XE motherboard/CPU-cooler
1GB SDRAM DIMM (2 parts 512MB 133Mhz Apacer, Original Buffered Registered ECC)
2 parts 120GB Western Digital Caviar 8MB Cache Harddrives
Black internal Samsung 16x/48x DVD-ROM EIDE/ATAPI drive
Black internal Samsung 40x/12x/40x CDRW EIDE/ATAPI drive
Black Chieftech Dragon MIDI-tower/360W PSU + 4 cooler fans..
Black Logitech Cordless Desktop Comfort/Optical Mouseman
ATI Radeon 9100 Atlantis 128MB DDR AGP-card
SoundBlaster Live! Digital 5.1 PCI-soundcard/Inspire 6700 Digital 6.1 speakers
19" Hyundai Silver/Black 1600 x 1200 85Hz DynaFlat-X SVGA-monitor
10/100 Ethernet PCI-card

That's all of my equipments for my A1G4XE when i get the motherboard. I also see that ATI will release three new cards, the Radeon 9800-series, Radeon 9600-series and the Radeon 9200-series. When the next version of AmigaOne arrives with Articia P, i may go straight for the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with 256MB 256-bit DDR-graphic memory, and the 24-bit TerraTec Aureon 7.1 Space!!!! Here we go again!!!

And now guess why I allready knew who posted this
after I just saw the topic .......
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Unless you want to have 2 ethernet sockets, the Ethernet PCI card is useless as the AOne motherboard has a perfect capable 10/100 ethernet chip.:-D

Then i don't need the Ethernet-card, just a cable..That's brilliant! :-)

Hey guys! Why not join Amiga Productions when we get the A1G4XEs ourselves, and start to come up with some amazing ideas for hot new games??!!! That would be perfect! :-D

Lucky b... :-)

I was going to get myself an A1. But then weeks before the mobo was released, hell broke loose. I had upgraded my x86 and was going to re-use the parts for my A1, I had reserved money for the mobo, everything looked just dandy.

One day I decided to finally throw out that second-hand monitor, and used up the reserve to buy a really good monitor.

BOOM!

Suddenly I stand without a steady income, loose my dialup, and a general state of bad luck blow over me like a dark cloud. And all because I bought a monitor I would have needed anyway, when I got my A1 together.

I just got my diaup back and I hope I can get enough cash during the summer to finally buy my beloved A1 mobo.

I just keep thinking: atleast the A1 mobo EXIST. It could have been alot worse.
*Zap! Zap!* Ha! Take that! *Kabooom!* Hey, that\'s not fair!

That's nice Helgis75.
Bet you can't wait.

and don't worry about what the clown says.
I grew tired of those three folks a long time ago.
You know the three I speak of.

The "Unholy Three".

But anyway Helgis75...
I've alway enjoyed your enthusiasm about the amigaone and OS4.

Keep on hoping and maybe one day you won't have to hope anymore.

That's the ultimate end isn't it?

Don't bother about a A1 (teron0
Read this http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/store/index.php?submit=hardware&submitimg[hardware][boxer]=1

From the Terra Soft homepage:

"Terra Soft ATX PowerPC Systems

Terra Soft Current and Pending Customers,

"Many of you have enthusiastically and patiently awaited the delivery of MAI Logic's Teron motherboards on which Terra Soft's Boxer ATX systems will be built. We have removed the Teron-based systems from our online Store until further notice in order to reduce further confusion and false expectations. We promise to bring this product to market as soon as possible." --Terra Soft Team"

Nice try, buddy. I you came from a real company, you wouldn't spend time on forums like this. Professional companies never spend time telling bullshit on forums like this one:-). Nice try, but i am not stupid:-) AmigaOne will be a brilliant system when ready. It's underway from Taiwan at this very moment:-). I for once will be proud about my choice.

Anyone remember a few months back when a load of people were saying that the A1-G3SE would never be made, that A inc had given up, that there wouldn't ever be an AmigaONE?  I wonder if they still think that :-)

Seems like everyone is having problems with MAI lately. Delays delays delays... hey, maybe AmigaOS4 will be finished before the next revision of the Teron/AmigaONE PPC motherboard gets released. :-D

@Helgis75

That is from the true site.

But i would not worry yet.

As eyetech are not Terrasoft.

See what eyetech have to say first as this is one sided ATM.
