Getting rid of bad memories
« on: May 05, 2005, 03:44:32 AM »
I went through my closet the other day, and ran across some of my old Genesi shirts.  Now, I don't really want to be reminded of that time, so I'm planning on getting rid of them.  Anyone here want to make an offer for one before I put them on ebay?

...nice website!

I find the quickest way to get rid of stuff you no longer want is to plonk them in a charity bin?

Ive done that with at least one A500 and 100's of disks...

-beware the overzealous modification-

Well, the thought here is pretty simple:

Genesi never paid me for some of the work done.  I won't say how much, but there is money owed.  I don't expect to get any out of them, honestly.  A lot of people on here have expressed a dislike for Genesi, claiming it is based on the fact that they have not paid some of their former staff.  So, I'm offering those people an opportunity to put their money where their mouth is and to help directly one of the people that came up short.  While I may one day be paid, I don't expect it tomorrow, next week, or any time soon.  So, let's see weither we had sincere support for our predicament, or if it was just trolling, yet again.

May I point out that I helped Bolton directly by trading my April 2 board for his betatester, so that he'd have a top-notch machine.  I felt bad for what happened to him, so I helped out in the only way I could.

Downix : your kindness to Bolton does put you at a higher level than most people, and it´s indeed more painful in the ass if Genesi treats you like that. Sorry to hear that you are also on the list of people that didn´t get paid ...

@ikir

I don't recall, I remember at one time I was paid, but that was a long-long time ago.

Ah!
yes, make a video (or DVD, really)

Now, there is an idea that really could be fun AND make money for those that need it!

Hey, if someone were to buy me enough film to do it and act in it, I'd shoot it all.  8)  Recommend K40 Super8 tho, ultra-sharp stock and cheap to do even a feature length movie using.

i think it would be cheaper if shot on a digital camera. the quality can be controlled all inhouse and it's easier to add effects (this story needs effects).

plus, it's all going to end up digital anyway, so why not?
