If I were an immature brat, I'd register on that forum just to take the pi$$ out of everything he posts, however, being the responsible mature adult that I am, I shall refrain from doing so

Hmmm, I don't know.  Registering simply to destroy his posts would be extremely satisfying.  However, I don't think the administrators of the board would be particularly happy.

My bet is that Amigaz is doomy just trying to advertise himself..  I often think that of anyone who bothers to bring up the drivelling bundle of patheticism that is, in fact doomy.

Most definately - get yourself a military spec A2000 as soon as you can, you'll be glad you did when the nukes start falling ...

I find it a shame that there are people unaware of Doomy out there, who might actually hand money over to him for things like his "refurbishment" programme.  I hate to think about what that may entail!

However it's kinda reassuring that he's still talking crap after all this time, lol.

Maybe doomy should buy http://doomy.org/ and set up his own military spec forum...

Hey, let's be honest the guy is at least partially right, the 3000 is better then the 4000 if you look at the timeframe they were released in. The 4000 was scraped together with second hand designs, the A3640 was the cheapest _ever_ accelerator they could possibly design.

AGA didn't offer that much in comparison to the ECS or even OCS chipset. I'd rather have seen Dave Haynie's design concept (A3000+) instead of the 4000.

I do however own 2 4000's which I love as it's the best C= ever made, it could just have been soooo much better.

I am a big fan of demo´s, always have and always will be !! But try to visit http://ada.planet-d.net/ with an A2000 or even an A3000, both without AGA and you won´t be able to play 90% of the great demo´s because they require AGA and ECS is just not good enough !! Sure there are some demo´s that also work with gfx card, but they are still a great minority !!

You misread or misunderstood my comment  :-D

Design quality and build quality of the 3000 was better then the 4000 especially when you look at the dates they were released.
The 4000 could have been; or should I say should have been better then it is now. At the time it could have had better gfx, it could have had a DSP etc etc
